Description White Phoenix 2008-07-04 06:42:43 UTC
Please add an option to change the default font for all or each module of
OpenOffice.
Comment 1 White Phoenix 2008-07-04 06:46:23 UTC
After-thought: This should be saved to the default template(s) so a new file
will open with the user’s defaults.

A general either by module or overarching default font selection is VERY high on my usability list.

With 4.1.0, when I create a new text document, I get an additional item in Tools-> Options for choosing a "Base Font" (basically changing the default font. but get no such option for Calc. So, this needs to be set on a per sheet basis.

Can font options be available on an "Office" wide basis in addition to the (same) settings per module?

My platform is Linux-32 by the way, but I expect this behavior affects all platforms.

It is the users choice to change the default template. In the help you find a chapter "Changing Default Templates" which describes how to do this.

Look also at issue 97920 and its comments. Maybe this issue is a DUPLICATE of 97920? If not, please change the title to a better description.

You are correct as for my complaint. The idea of customizing is to replace the standard default and make it the new default.
