Description jimjutte 2008-06-21 17:56:05 UTC
Attempting to cut a jpg in a frame with a caption results in the application
crashing everytime.
Comment 1 kaulisch 2008-06-22 08:21:01 UTC
I can't reproduce this behaviour with build 300m20. Windows XP SP3
I created a new doc inserted a frame and applied a caption, inserted a pictured
and cut the pictured afterwards. No problem here.
Comment 2 eric.savary 2008-06-22 10:42:40 UTC
Neither can I reproduce it.
Feel free to reopen if you can reproduce it in a current
version:http://download.openoffice.org/680/?intcmp=1235

In this case please add a sample document.

It might not be a simple as inserting, cutting and pasting. I have a 6 page
document with other images in it. I am using the lastest development version.

I just tried it again. I was able to cut and paste about three times in the same
file. I was beginning to think you folks might have a point when I got:

Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\OOo-dev 3\program\office.bin

R6205
- pure virtual function call

Once this error is produced, it will continue to be reproduced with increasing
frequency as the application is used.

Cheers

Then, please, add your picture/document here and a step-by-step description of
what you do to reproduce the crash.
Also confirm that you are using a m20.
Comment 7 jimjutte 2008-06-27 13:19:20 UTC
I did not have the opportunity to upload the file before updating to m21. Not
sure why, but the issue is no longer reproducible. So, I'm closing this for now
unless I find I can reproduce this in a predictable fashion.

Hi, I also have this problem, with the current version - please reopen this issue.
I'm attaching an example document.

The error report appears in a dialogue with the caption "Microsoft Visual C++
Runtime Library" that says:
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\OOo-dev 3\program\soffice.bin
R6025
-pure virtual function call

I'm running WinXP SP2 and OOo-dev 3.0.0 Beta DEV300m22 (Build:9321)

A file with a frame, a picture and a caption. When cutting OOo crashes.
Comment 11 drorlev 2008-07-07 14:11:52 UTC
Two things:

1. The crash occurs on trying to *delete* the frame, not only upon cutting.
2. I changed the settings so the default file format is ODF 1.0/1.1.

Using DEV300m23(build:9326)

I confirmed this one by inserting a picture (was a PNG), adding caption to it,
and trying to delete it. Then, the error dialog appears, as mentioned by jimjutte
and drorlev.

Not sure if this is related or not, but when using OOoLatex, if you edit a
formula created by the macro and try to update it, Writer crashes. Further
debugging attempt shows that it crashes when attempting to call uno:cut. But this
one doesn't spawn the error dialog, except that it asks for document recovery and
will restart Writer afterwards.

Ok, now it's gone.
I mean, I've installed DEV300m24 (Build:9329) and there is no problem anymore!

Thank you for whoever fixed it, whether intentionally or in the course of
working on something else...

Of course I'll keep you informed in case things would deteriorate in future
builds...
