Description caolanm 2002-11-07 09:39:34 UTC
The attached document has a table wider than the page text area, when set to
manual it looks like I expect, but when set to "left" it's width is shrunk to
that of the text area.

Comment 2 andreas.martens 2002-11-11 08:02:32 UTC
Okay, has to be fixed in SwTabFrm::Format(..). But I've to be aware of
some tricky code regarding fly frames and tables.

OD (25.02.2003):
I will take care of this.

accepted.
Comment 5 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2003-02-25 12:13:50 UTC
OD (25.02.2003):
set appropriate target.
Comment 6 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2003-02-25 15:45:57 UTC
OD (25.02.2003):
Also table alignment "right" isn't correct handled during format of
the table - I will fix this, too.
Comment 7 frank.loehmann 2003-02-26 14:06:03 UTC
FL: As discussed:
- There are only two really different table types "Automatic" and
"Manual". All other ones like "right" or "left" are only intended to
make it easier for the user to format the table.
- If there a frames ("paragraph" or "to character" binding) aligned to
the page margin (left or right), tables will not overlap the frame. If
a table has an alignments like centered, the table will only take the
space left between frame and the other margin (frame aligned to
margin) to center the table. This space will be handled like the
normal space between to left and right margin of the page.
Comment 8 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2003-03-06 15:24:28 UTC
OD (06.03.2003):
Further discussions with FL and OS reveals that the behaviour and the
resulting formatting of the different table alignments aren't so easy,
as stated in the comment given by FL at 2003-02-26.
Thus, first of all I will fix the defect, that negative indents
doesn't work with the table alignments 'left' respectively 'right'.
For the review and possible refactoring of the complete table
alignment behaviour and the resulting formatting a new issue will be
submitted.

OD (14.03.2003):
I attached the document 'CommentsToTheTableAlignment.sxc' in order to
provide a small summary the effect of the different table alignments
in the writer.
Fix for the defects is in progress and will follow.

/sw/source/core/layout/tabfrm.cxx, 1.31.2.2.44.1 in cws sw009
Comment 12 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2003-04-07 13:24:53 UTC
OD->SBA (07.04.2003):
Checked in internal installation set of cws sw009. Please verify.
Please take into account the comments to the table alignment (see
attached document) and assure the quality of the complete table
alignment behaviour.
