Clicking on links to documents in OO.org format placed on a webpage:
(Example at http://nswas.com/danmark/)
Mozilla and IE 6 either try to open the document in html format,
or to save it with an html file extension.
The only possibility I see for providing links to OO.org documents would be to
give specific instructions on how to deal with this.

It is a server configuration error.  The server is sending the file as
text/html.  It should send it as application/x-vnd.sun.xml.writer
until application/vnd.sun.xml.writer is officially accepted by IANA. 
Contact webmasters of sites that should fix this.
