Description Unknown 2002-11-05 16:37:46 UTC
Due to some error in 3-buttons mouse interface (mouse.h) there appeared an error
which crashed Openoffice 1.0.1 (also 643) and kill the other programs and ends
the sessios of the user. This happened every time. I was amazed, because every
time I opened that file, the computer crashed, I had to relogin and reopen
programs. Not even backup of the session was present.

There is some work put into that file, so its a pity that I cannot even open it.
There are only characters, bold, and tabs, so the source of error should be
handling mouse events.

Thank you for using and supporting OOo.

The attached file loads fine for me using OOo 1.0.1 and OOo 643c.

Do you get any specific error messages during the crash?

Do other window managers cause the same problem?

Can you try loading this file on a Windows machine with OOo?

Unable to duplicate on RH 8.0, OOo 643c.
Unable to duplicate on RH 8.0, RH OOo 1.0.1.
Gnome is the default window manager for RH.

This is an X server crash, and as such, it's not an OpenOffice bug.
The X server is supposed to be bulletproof. Please take this up
with your distribution vendor or X vendor.
