Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 89880
deleting paragraph does not delet figure anchored to it
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:44:35 UTC
0: Load TxtFig.odt; select the whole parag 0, hit ^x: Text is deleted, figure stays --it should not. open a new window, hit ^v: text AND figure are pasted. So, ^x behaved like ^c for the figure. 1: select everything in TxtFig.odt, including Title, and hit ^x: text and figure are deleted, and can be pasted.

I checked with "2.4.0 Multilingual version German UI WIN XP: [680m12(Build9286)]" and can NOT confirm the reported effect. Same result with "3.0.0 Beta Multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [300m2 (Build9301)]". @tab How did you create a ".odt"? ;-) Pls. check your OOo version. Pls. contribute information concerning object "/Cadres/DemmiCTri.igr" in your "TxtFig.odt" and information how you inserted that object!
How did you create a ".odt"? **With OpenOffice 2.3.1. I noticed this behaviour in a larger file, which I edited down to isolate the problem and reduce the file size. The drawing (deleted inside the frame to reduce the file size; The behaviour described was the same with or without it.) was from Intergraph SmartSketch; I copied it (^c) from Smartsketch and pasted it into the frame. PS I uninstalled OO 2.4 because of the bug explained in issue 87642. I am now working at home, on a different computer, with the file downloaded from OO --not the uploaded original: the behaviour is as described.
Modified Version due to comments from tab Sat May 24. I have to close this issue as WFM because this is no longer visible in versions later than 2.3.1.
I can confirm the issue using OO 2.4 or even 3.0 beta.
MRU->OD from the end of "Title" to the end of the following paragraph. Delete or cut the selection -> the frame remains. In OO 1.x this at least went when the numbering of the paragraph was turned off - since OO2 even this does not help.
Indeed, The page seems to be empty, but in Navigator I see a remaining (greyed out) "Frame9"
