Dear developers,

Please consider implementing "Divider Tabs" (not "division tabs") in the style
of Lotus Word Pro
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=20701
in version three. It would make for a HUGE productivity boost!

This abandoned request was originally make on October 4, 2003.

With a Divider Tab, it is one mouse click to go exactly where you want. With the
"Navigator" it is how many mouse clicks?

The purpose of including Divider Tabs is to increase productivity. It wouldn't
hurt to have both in OO Writer. Word Pro has both and they
co-exist. And since I use Word Pro a lot, I can tell you that Divider Tabs are
SO, SO much quicker and easier to use than is the Navigator
that I never use the Navigator.

[Soap Box] OO Writer: Ease of use and productivity need to be a priority [/Soap Box]

Many thanks,
-T

Please do not waste time and resources raising deliberate duplicate Issues; it
is not constructive! No Issue is abandoned unless it is closed as 'WONTFIX'...

Andrew

You could vote for that issue to increase the chance of being developed.

There are also other ways to help implement an issue, e.g. by writing a
specification.
