Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 88373
PPT import: Hyperlinking to other slides and return to calling slide is not working
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:44:14 UTC
I am attaching a ppt file, Test for Nested Hyperlinks.ppt, to illustrate my issue. Using the top slide (#1), each of the bullets should hyperlink to a slide, and that called slide presents more bullets which also hyperlink to other slides. There is no problem with the forward hyperlinks, the problem is going back up to the 'calling' slide. Clicking on any part of the slide except the hyperlinks should display the previously displayed or 'calling' slide. Impress displays the next slide instead. I often nested hyperlinks in my presentations and I find the fact that I cannot use these links as I do in Powerpoint the only factor that keeps me from fully adopting OpenOffice.

Reassigned.
set to new and change the target.
- I can reproduce the bug in dev300m5 - The custom animation contains only the first slide. - In my mind this is not a real defect but nevertheless the behavior of Impress and PowerPoint is different.
When loading the attached ppt document, I can not find the hyperlink which leads to the previous slide, in PowerPoint where can this feature be activated. If I am creating such a document and clicking any part of the slide, always the next slide is displayed.
sj->Simbulan: Thanks a lot for your description I got from you via e-mail. I fact, in OOo the feature that should return to the calling slide is not working properly. The import filter does not need to be fixed, instead, the OOo presentation needs to be enhanced to handle such kinds of hyperlinks. I have to reassign this issue to cl.
The imported hyperlinks from PPT and PPTX files are broken differently. Two files for testing will be attached.
