Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 87609
Allow STANDARD installs to see and change installation directory
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:37:46 UTC
Right now, only with a Custom installation can you view and change the directory on which the OO is going to be installed. A Standard installation allows you to specify where the INSTALLATION FILES will be located, but you can't change where the programs will be actually installed. You're not even informed where the programs will be installed. Hope this can be fixed.
The standard installation directory is 'c:\program files\...' so it is at least ok for me not to offer this dialog.
I also thought about such a directory selection dialog, but: - unfortunately there is no time left for OOo 3.0. - we do not want to make the standard installation more complicated. Many people prefer a standard installation with only one click, similar to the Java installation wizard.
