Description Unknown 2002-10-23 01:37:50 UTC
I just upgraded to Redhat 8.0 (Psyche) soffice worked on Redhat 7.3
but now core dumps with the message that an unrecoverable error occurred.
I completely removed OpenOffice1.0.1 and reinstalled. Same error occurs
under either Gnome or KDE. I am not sure what build it is since I could not
get it up and running. Since it does not start I'm not sure if the installation
is hosed (it says it was successful) or if it is a problem in soffice.

Thank you for using and supporting OOo.

Do you have RedHat's OOo installed?

Try

rpm -q -a | grep -i openoffice

Installing redhats rpm worked. I had previously installed from a
tarball. Dependence on two other rpms was noted.

Thanks!
