Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 85533
ROUNDDOWN(ref) returns 0 for ref=-1
Last modified: 2008-01-23 23:06:32 UTC
ROUNDDOWN(ref) returns 0 for ref=-1 whereas ROUNDDOWN(-1) returns -1
I cannot reproduce it. Please show the cell in high precision to make sure, that the number is really -1 and not -0,99999 for example. Please attach a spreadsheets, which shows this error.
Type "-1" into a cell and round it down. Then do the same with a constant argument =ROUNDDOWN(-1). Any other positive or negative integer behaves consistently.
I cannot reproduce it, OOo2.3.1 and OOH680_m4 on WinXP. Which OS do you use? Do you use an original OOo?
I use Sun's 2.3.1 with Ubuntu 6.06. I'll attach a file.

After reloading the document, the result is calculated correctly. I can not reproduce the error any more, but I swear it has been there.
So I will close it for now. Feel free to reopen it, if you can give a way to reproduce it. Please see issue 69749 in addition for problems with precision of floating point numbers.
