Description Unknown 2002-10-20 22:40:53 UTC
During the installation the program terminates during the local settings
phase. I tried to uninstall the product and when I following the instructions
to uninstall, I get instructions in the program that give me the option to fix
any files that are corrupt. The option to uninstall is not even available.
Then I tried to run one fo the suites programs, since they are listed as being
on my computer, but they all terminate with a memory reference error.

Any ideas ? I'm running Win2000 Professional Service Pack 3.

Remove OOo 1.0.1 folder, search for sversion.ini, open it in editor
and remove OOo 1.0.1 entry, retry.

I tried the suggested fixes and received the same error. I reviewed
7215 and used the suggested remedies there too. Any ideas ? Once
again , the installation process fails as it starts the creating
local seetings portion of the installation , and the program
terminates because it can't read a memory location.

Thanks

The issue was too many programs started as services under w2k. I
closed as many down as possible and things went smoothly.

Thanks for the help.
