Description eric.bachard 2007-12-29 11:49:39 UTC
How to reproduce :

Open a new Writer document
Enable Shaw Draw Functions menu (see the attached screenshot )
Select one symbol from Symbol shapes (e.g. the smiley)

Click on the sheet, and define a dimension for the shape
When done, only the handlers appear, and nothing is drawn

Fully repeatable

I'll attache a screenshot to help

No idea if the issue is reproduceable with X11 version.

Can someone confirm ?

I can confirm this for 680m240 Aqua on both PPC Leopard and Intel Leopard, when
trying to create a symbol shape (such as star or arrow) in a Text document. You
can create the shape ok in Drawing but if you copy and paste into a Text
document the result is still invisible.

Here's a workaround I found: Create the symbol shape in a Drawing document,
copy, then in the Text document use Paste Special and select any format to paste
it in except for "Drawing format", e.g., use "Draw 8".

I (strangely ?) see just this too in OOH680_m1, with system boost which might be
relevant.
