Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 8445
How to remove OO from the computer when install fails
Last modified: 2008-05-17 23:36:50 UTC
I've found that OO refuses to install 100% on my computer. I can't remove it normally as the setup.ini file is not present in the OO folder so setup.exe refuses to remove it. So I'd like to see a set of instructions on how to rip it out of my computer.
Delete your OOo folder, search for sversion.ini and try again. You are right, this should be documented somewhere.
adding Martijn & Scott Carr to cc list; this can be included in the installation instructions or with general user help files. Or, would you want want to do the addition to the doc yourself? louis
I hope we can have this, and close this.
any progress? btw. you are installing the readmes for OOo in 3 different places
Has this been resolved as yet
I think this issue is obsolete due to the new installation program used.
