The freeware alternative spellchecker for Outlook / Outlook Express linked to 
contains files which appear to be proprietary.

could you be more specific as to which files you mean?

It's a long time since I tried it but I think it was DLLs. There can't be many 
in the download to check. Or are there? I'm not in a position to look, sorry.

It was pretty obvious from the properties dialogue the files were lifted 
straight from a commercial application. The download just tries to put them in 
the required places. I seem to remember that it either put them in the wrong 
place or didn't register them correctly, or both, AND that they were also old 
versions that didn't work correctly.
