For selected text, I can control letter kerning through the Format menu. I would
also like to be able to set it for styles, through the corresponding dialogs. I
have not found the corresponding checkbox. In the character formatting dialog,
it is on the Position tab, which does not exist in the style settings dialogs.

(there are more issues (which I can't find yet) with styles and formatting in
Impress)
