Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 8378
Cannot find DocBook, XHTML Filters
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
Folks, I was exploring 643 tonight in preparation for a LUG meeting tommorrow, and discovered that the new DocBook and XHTML filters aren't available in the "Open" or "Save As" dialogs. Where did they go? -Josh Berkus
Since I can ... Changing to "started"
dvo->aidan: Assigning to you, since you know this stuff better than I do... :-) dvo->agliodbs: Josh, it was my understanding that XMerge contains some filter modules, with two specific ones for XHTML and DocBook. It is my understanding that the 643 builds contain XMerge + some modules, but not the XHTML, DocBook ones. They should be easy to add, though. Aidan will correct me if I'm wrong. :)
At the moment, the DocBook, XHTML and FlatXml filters are not displayed during setup. However, if you select a "Custom Installation" and select the "Optional Components->Mobile Device Filters", the DocBook, XHTML and FlatXml filters will also be installed and made available in the Open/SaveAs Dialogs. These filters will have a proper setup option, when a proper home is found for them. These filters require a JRE to be selected during installation also. We recommend JRE1.4, but 1.3 will work as long as an external parser (e.g. Xerces) and external XSLT processor (e.g. Xalan) are added to the OOo classpath (<OOomenu>Tools->options->OpenOffice.org->Security->Classpath</OOomenu>)
bad installation; problem resolved
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
