Description ooo 2002-10-11 23:11:53 UTC
In Denmark (and maybe other governments) they are planning to use Dublin Core
meta data elements in their open exchange format in e-gov.

I would like native support for the Dublic Core meta data (or an easy method
to create own meta data within documents so OpenOffice.org can be use as the
main office suite within the Danish public sector.

I can confirm that use of Dublin Core metadata could be useful. It
also isn't too difficult to program from my knowledge.

The OpenOffice.org XML DTD supports already parts of Dublin Core.
However, there is no generic meta data model to support more Dublin
Core elements or own meta data.

Since I completely lack tin-depth information on this issue please
tell me if we can turn it down or must have it as an enhancement for
(what?) version.

The OASIS XMl file format has support for user defined meta data. This
can be used for Dublin Core Data as well.

This bug is a duplicate to the feature request that is about
implementing the OASIS file format.
