(This may be related to defect #37793, but it appears to be back.)
Lines -- especially beziers (sp) -- are not smooth in presentation mode.  They
look fine in "normal" mode.  This is also appears in font "outline" mode.  I do
not know if it is because of my 1680x1050 display.

This has nothing to do with i37793. This was a different problem.
The current problem here is reproducible. It is not a problem of your monitor
resolution.
I am sure that there is already an issue for this but i can't find it at the
moment.

Cannot reproduce. wg, maybe caused for you by the (temporarily) missing dxcanvas
for 3.0?
