Description cno 2007-09-03 19:45:57 UTC
When a spreadsheet is opened, the function NOW() is recalculated, but the
document status in not set to modified.
Only when the result of NOW() is used in a chart, modified is set.

(Follow up of issue #77463)

Hi,

are you sure you want the NOW() function to set the dirty flag every time a
recalculation is made, even if nothing else changed ? I think it's a bit
inconvenient. But let's UX decide as it works as designed now.

@ Frank,
No of course I would not be happy.
But ja writes in i77463, that it is by design, that a Now(), that causes charts
to change on opening, sets the document to modified.
Thus I think it should be one of both: Now() makes the document become modified
on opening in both situations, or not.
Therefore I gave this issue the status Defect ;-)

should this question be brought to a list (which one) for discussion?

Hi.
Is this inconsistent behavior that we should look at?
Comment 5 nily 2008-02-07 09:46:58 UTC
definitely ;-)
