Description ais 2002-10-07 15:00:29 UTC
I have now experienced this issue a couple of times. Having used OOO.org all
day, I try to shut-down the computer, but nothing happens.
If I kill the soffice.exe application through Win2k Task manager, and then
attempt to shut down again, win2k shuts down as it should.

Analyzing soffice.exe it consumes approx. 100 MB of ram, and has about 10
threads running in the background, which is 5 more then when it starts.

It seems, that something isn't being terminated properly.

Since this is properly very hard to replicate, I can't say what does it, since
it happens with different files. I was wondering if there is some way I can
provide you with more information on the issue, when it happens to me.

Best regards

AIS

Anders, thank you for using and supporting OOo.

Does this problem still exist if you do not load the OOo QuickStarter
during the startup of OOo?

My guess is that you are experiencing problems with the QuickStarter
app in the SysTray, not with the core OOo app.

Ok, thanks.

I'll try that and report back.

Due to the fact, that I´m not able to reproduce this problem when
using a OO 1.0.2., I need more information about how to let it occur
in a OO 1.0.2.

Hi,

I have runned many last since my last post, but have been unable to
create a reproduceble situation.
All I can say is that, it doesn't seem to be linked directly to the
quickstarter, since I have computers running without it, but still
have the problem.

However it seems to be related to word-documents and excel documents.

#7037 is managed by LO. He is going to find out what causes these
problems and try to solve them. Close this one therefore as duplicate.
