Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 81195
WW8: restart numbering will be re-imported as two different numberings
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:19:30 UTC
1. Open a document. 2. Make a numbered list 3. Right click at number 1 > Paragraph 4. Numbering tab 5. Check box restart at this paragraph select start with 1 6. Click ok 7. Save document 8. Close document 9. Open document 10. Right click in same place as before > Paragraph The numbering settings have been forgotten. I have screen shots of doing this with a sample document.
I discovered that the reason was because I was saving in the .DOC format. I am leaving the issue UNCONFIRMED though because it would still be nice to have a .DOC remember my numbering preferences.
MRU->HBRINKM: If you use Writer's "Restart numbering" feature as described, it won't be exported correctly to WW8 format. In DOC format, this will be displayed as two numbering styles when reopening
