Description rootkit 2007-08-19 11:31:42 UTC
When I start OpenOffice.org it displays the status bar, advance until 100%
then hangs.
I ran strace on it and it hangs while reading from its fd 4, a named pipe.

Can you give us a hint what Linux you have? Please tell us which OOo version you
use. Where have downloaded from?
Comment 4 rootkit 2007-08-19 16:45:15 UTC
Ubuntu gutsy, linux 2.6.23-rc3, openoffice.org 2.3.0~src680m224-1ubuntu2
Comment 5 Olaf Felka 2007-08-19 17:03:27 UTC
In this case I think you should refer to Ubuntu. The build you use is an Ubuntu
build not an official OOo build. Can you reproduce this with an native OOo build
downloaded at http://download.openoffice.org/index.html?
Comment 6 rootkit 2007-08-20 14:57:13 UTC
There are no amd64 packages there, so I can't test
Comment 7 Olaf Felka 2007-08-22 07:06:31 UTC
64 bit packages are not officially supported by OOo. You should refer to Ubuntu.
