Description chris 2002-10-04 09:38:26 UTC
This document demonstrates a problem with the Word import. It contains a table
with 3 rows, followed by a page break.

Problem 1: The contents of row 2 appear outside the table
Problem 2: The text from page 2 appears within the table.

Tested on SRX643_OO CVS branch.

Seriously broken table, shouldn't be possible for word to have three
tables under eachother like that, it should have considered the lot to
be one table. Mysterious.
Comment 3 caolanm 2002-10-11 13:55:02 UTC
Fixable, seperate rows in word are considered part of the same table
only if the rows are similiar enough in properties to eachother to
match, in this case we were applying one of the properties of the
previous to the next row before the comparison, generating a false
belief that there was one table here and not three as is the actual
case, the various tables starting in the same case cascaded the
problem into garbled table inside table output. Will work in SRX644e/f ?
Comment 4 caolanm 2002-10-23 10:18:30 UTC
Working in SRX644f
Comment 5 michael.ruess 2002-11-15 09:34:12 UTC
Tested with internal 644L build and looks good.
fix will reach OpenOffice community with build 644.
Comment 6 michael.ruess 2002-11-29 11:05:03 UTC
Fix will be included in OpenOffice 1.1 beta

Creating a table in OO, saving it as a Word file in MS XP/97, Windows 95 or Word
6.0 creates havoc for recipients using MS Word.

Likewise, downloading Word tables into OO changes all the text parameters so
there is nonsense on the screen.
