Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 7972
Moving paragraphs up and down by shortcut keys no longer possible
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:42:08 UTC
It was always possible to move entire paragraphs up and down using Ctrl + up and Ctrl + down. This feature has been removed in my build 643 de. The new combination Ctrl + Alt + up/down mentioned in the Online Help doesn't work either.
I confirm this behaviour on Linux build versions 643, 643c, 644_m1, and 644_m4. I've just opened a duplicate issue under IZ 12139. Can somebody change this to confirmed ? Stephan, is this your call ? TIA, Alex

How does one set the issue to confirmed if you didn't create it ? Do you have to be on the development team to do this ?
Has or is anybody going to look at this issue, it's been around for quite some time now, or is it something that the developers don't want to fix ? Alex.
Hi, I thought I would confirm that in OO1.0.3.1 this feature still works. In OO1.1beta2 it has been removed. Was there any particular reason this feature was removed? Kelvin

SBA: Same in OO.org 645m4. Reassigned to Andreas.
A quote from Help: - - - snip - - - Ctrl+Alt+Up Arrow Move the active paragraph or selected paragraphs up one paragraph. Ctrl+Alt+Down Arrow Move the active paragraph or selected paragraphs down one paragraph. - - - snip - - - These both work in OO.org build 645m4.
...and therefore will work in OO.org 1.1 RC. Set to fixed.
Closed.
Great, thank you, thank you, thank you, absolutely brilliant. Alex.
