Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 79259
F2 on ChartWizard "Data Range" tab does not open the data range chooser
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:21:24 UTC
It was possible to shrink the Data Range in the wizzard by using F2. In the new Chart the implementation is missing.

To reproduce: Old Chart (OOo 2.2.1): Insert Chart in Calc. You get the wizard which shows the table cell range to use as data for the chart. Press F2 => The dialog shrinks for better range choosing. In the new chart, what you would expect: When the cursor is in one of the text fields which have a range-choosing button next to them, F2 should do the same as clicking on the button. The places are: Dialog "Data Ranges", tab "Data Range", edit "Data range", and tab "Data Series", edit "Range for name" and "Categories"

Fixed by Mao Yonggang. Thanks for the patch. Changed type to ENHANCEMENT, as this is an enhancement for the new edit fields. It is no regression, as the old dialog no longer exists.
After coming back from range-choosing, the cursor is now in the edit field which allows a more fluent work-flow.
