Description raghunath 2002-09-25 03:03:03 UTC
This bug was found in OpenOffice1.0.1 and replicated on a Windows 2000
system. This is observed when one tries to insert more columns into an already
existing table. The steps for replicating the bug are:

a.	Draw a table with 1 column and 16384 rows.
b.	After the table is drawn which spans around 512 pages, click the cursor
on any row.
c.	Then, right click on the cursor and from the menu that appears,
choose ‘column’ and from the sub-menu ‘insert’. Give 20 as the number of
columns in this dialog box.
d.	Wait for about 5-10 minutes and eventually we observe that the writer
crashes.

Raghunath, thanks for posting this issue.

I'm going to mark this as a duplicate of 7867.

These are all "bounds testing" related issues on the word processors
ability to handle very large tables.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
