I will attach a file (sorry, it's a rather huge one), which can be opened in
OO.o 2.2, but, once saved as .odt, cannot be re-opened, giving an XML format error.

not reproducible on 2.2.1rc3 on linux.

Please give more details about your system/try again with 2.2.1rc3
yourself/attach the generated odt.

My attempt to install from the RPMS on Ubuntu gives this:

error: Failed dependencies:
        /bin/sh is needed by openoffice.org-core10-2.2.1-9161.i586
        libgnomevfs-2.so.0 is needed by
openoffice.org-gnome-integration-2.2.1-9161.i586
        libgconf-2.so.4 is needed by
openoffice.org-gnome-integration-2.2.1-9161.i586

I have /bin/sh, and libgconf-2.so.4 is in /usr/lib, as is libgnomevfs-2.so.0
(though they are all symbolic links).
Comment 5 jdeisenberg 2007-06-11 19:39:10 UTC
Converted the .rpm files to .deb, and was able to install; it now can read the
document properly. (I lost all the gnome icons, but that's a minor problem.)

I also cannot reproduce the problem with native OOo Linux builds. Seems to be a
problem of the ubuntu-own build.
Comment 7 michael.ruess 2007-06-12 07:40:30 UTC
Closed, not reproducible on native builds.
