Tried to install OO2.2.0 on a winXP-machine, on which runs staroffice7 (which
seems to be quite old and has problems with chapter-numbering (headings with
numbers and table of contents).

Installation-Progress-Bar runs to 100%, then appears a failure-notice (a problem
while registrating something?) which ends like „More information you can fin“
(so „d there and there“ is missing).

Clicking OK the installation runs backward - OO is removed again.

(install.log doesn‘t contain information for me)

This behaviour doesn't depend on StarOffice 7. Have you checksummed your
downloaded file? Have you stoped your running antivrus tools? What error message
do you get exactly? Please refer also to the mailing list users@openoffice.org.
There you'll find assistance.
