OOo is missing an idicator which shows the current input language like word does!

When I switch the input language in windows, word automatically switches to the
appropriate dic if installed.

OOo should act the same too.

Hello

this is a requirement that is being developed right now. Hopefully it won't take
long until the status bar shows a language switch (at least in Windows).

So let's wait a bit more !!

You can check the issues 1034 and 1035 about what's going on here. There is also
