Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 77920
UI font sometimes distorted
Last modified: 2008-05-14 16:57:48 UTC
Some lines of text in the UI are displayed in distorted fonts. Which makes it sometimes hard to read what should be readable. The problem occurs only in some lines, while the rest is ok. When changing the tab so a new UI appears, and then returning does not change the distorted line, it stays exactly the same. Restarting Openoffice does not make a difference. I will add attachments of screenshots which are the clearest way to see what the problem is. I have not had the same problem using other applications. For example, a UI with options like: Left O Right O Center O Then the word Right may be almost unreadable while the words Left and Center may look perfectly ok. I use Openoffice on a pentium 3 running Xubuntu feisty (linux). Happy to provide more info when needed.

Reassigned to ES. Maybe a problem of the distri?
I never saw that with IWN XP
Do you use the pre-installed Xubuntu OOo build? If yes, try the vanilla OOo build. http://development.openoffice.org/releases/2.3.m222_snapshot.html Does it still happens there?
I tried downloading this developement version, but I don't know which version to choose. All the options I tried give the following response: The download you selected is not available. Please try again later. The location where I tried to download: http://openoffice.bouncer.osuosl.org/download.php
What about the Linux build listed on this page? http://download.openoffice.org/680/
