Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 7768
creating autopilot report does not work
Last modified: 2006-05-31 14:29:06 UTC
OpenOffice.org build 643c Linux, build 643b Windows, build 643 Solaris sparc Select autopilot -report. In data source select bibliography, in tables or queries select biblio. From the existing fields copy e.g. Address, Annote, Author to the fields in report text box. Select Next in the choose database dialog, in the next dialog (Grouping), select next. In the sort options select next, Expected result, the dialog should move onto the choose layout dialog. Actual result - nothing appears to happen, the user is left at the sort options dialog indefinitely.
changing Component/QA contact - the report auto pilot belongs to the database access. Changing owner to the author of this pilot.

the file added needs to be extracted to <office_inst>/share/template/<language>/wizard, where "<office_inst>" is the path of your installation, and <language> the language of your version (usually "english"). After this, the auto pilot should work.

reopening. Given the trouble we had with the report pilot so far (we shipped _two_ OOo version with a broken auto pilot!), I believe this FIXED when I _see_ it.
Marc, as you marked this as FIXED, in which version do you expect the fix? Actually, I am not even sure if Berend already had a look at the 643C problems, or if we currently just "believe" that everything will be fine some day. Which is fine to some extent, too, as we know that it's working in internal builds, but in this case we can't CLOSE the bugs (the more: not without VERIFYing them).
Hi Frank, in the new OOo version 8362, the report witard works. Can I close this bug now? Bye Marc
this issue is fixed in build 643C - closing issue
interesting enough, in dev@dba/users@dba were complaints that the pilot does _not_ work in 643C :(, but this may not be _this_ bug here - though the summary would be generic enough :)
