Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 76916
DataPilot field labels are cropped, window not resizable
Last modified: 2023-02-06 17:17:25 UTC
NOTE: This bug was originally reported here - https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=218040 Tested Build: Downloaded OOo_2.2.0_LinuxIntel_install_wJRE_en-US.tar.gz package from: http://openoffice.bouncer.osuosl.org/?product=OpenOffice.org&os=linuxintelwjre&lang=en-US&version=2.2.0 Problem - There is a usage problem with the DataPilot, where similarly-named data fields cannot be differentiated if the starting text is the same in two or more. The attached picture shows the problem. Related to this is that the window cannot be re-sized, which limits the amount of working space for building a large table. The fixed size means that you cannot do anything to stretch the window and see the labels better.

Confirming with 2.3m211 on WinXP - buttons with field names are not resizable. Competing spreadsheet lists all fields vertically in scrollable resizable window (very simmilar to our Navigator). Reducing priority as this problem should not be very common.
Hi, not a defect but an enhancement request. Niklas please proceed as needed. Frank

If you have monster label buttons you will need monster label areas, but who can know what labels will come to what field, and so we need all elements in the pivot creator resizable ...
Still Reproducible with server installation of "AOO 4.1.0-Dev – English UI / German locale - [AOO410m1(Build:9750) - Rev. 1566800 - 2014-02-12]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile.
