Description mlfrancis 2007-04-24 05:09:35 UTC
The attached document is a Word 2003 file that I received from University of
Phoenix. I know they have gone out of their way to add gobs of formatting, but
it gets very messed up when opening in OO 2.2. Just open it and you will see
what I mean.

Interestingly enough, I just imported the same document into Google docs and
it imported it correctly. Just wanted to mention it.

Confirmed this error in OOo 2.2 under Windows XP.

MRU->HBRINKM: open attached document -> the contentfrom page 3 on is moved
outside the page, because the section was imported with an indent of -8,26 cm.
Workaround: in Format.Section, click option button and set the indent to 0 cm.

Cool. The workaround does work so I have a way around it. However, I would
like to urge a fix be made simply because University of Phoenix recommends
students NOT use Open Office and one of the biggest reasons they site is that
it does not open their documents correctly. Many students, and faculity, that
I know would be glad to use it otherwise. I'll pass around the workaround
until a fix is available.

Thanks!
