Eugene, thanks for taking the time to post this issue. Is this a reproducible error? Thank you for using and supporting OOo. Unable to duplicate on Win NT 4.0 SP6a, OOo 1.0.1.
This is a repoducible error (sort-of). The problem started after I tried to create a custom page style. That custom page style that I created does not show up in the list, and OO now crashes when I try to modify/create page styles. I have tried to uninstall and re-install OO, but the problem still persists. I have not been able to repoduce the error from the point of creating a page style (crashes before I can do this) and then crashes after subsequent accesses to create a new page style.
(Ajay Jha - 10/03/2002) Unable to replicate the bug on Win-XP running OO 1.0.1 Was able to create a custom page style and it was displayed in the list.I was later able to modify the page style as well. Please note that this was tried on XP not on NT. Steps I followed - 1.Start Open Office Word Processor 1.0.1 2.From the ‘Format’ menu select ‘Styles’ option and from the ‘Styles’ option select the ‘Catalog’ option 3.In the resulting ‘Styles Catalog’ window, select ‘Page Styles’ 4.Click on the ‘New’ button 5.In the ‘Page Style’ window type the name as 'teststyle" and carry out any other modifications to the other options available like change the background color. 6.Click OK to save the page style. 7.Teststyle appears as one of the options in the list. 8.Later on follow the same steps and modify the style. It is possible to modify "teststyle" Eugene, were to following the same steps or do I have any aberration from your path. Thanks.
Eugene, I'm marking this as a WORKSFORME for now. Perhaps you can post a question to the users mailing list to get some hints on how to completely uninstall OOo. You can always reopen this issue when you find out the sequence of events needed to reproduce this issue from scratch.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
