Use OpenOffice as service provider and controle it with java.
Insert two (or more) graphics from the same File. If you will evaluate the size
of the second (or third, etc. )graphic you became 0.
You can evaluate the size after saving, closing and reopen the document.

See attached Test.java for an example.

cn->tl: I can reproduce a strage behavior: If I run the sample several times I
get a with for the first or the second or for both or for none of the shapes.

Since code freeze is near and some other issues still need to fixed: 
setting target to OOo 2.x

No more issues accepted for OOo 2.4 unless there are serious problems.
