Description prgmgr 2002-09-08 05:57:47 UTC
Win NT 4.0 SP6a, OOo 1.0.1.

Using the attached file,

1. Load the file in Writer.
2. Double click on a formula.
3. Change the font size of the formula

    Format->Font Size->Base Size

4. Click on any part of the document.

On my test box, the other formulas are rendered with smaller fonts.

The work around is to save the file and then reload it.

Frederic Nicot 9/11/02

Duplicated using a PC running win 2000 5.00.2195 SP3 with OO 1.0.1

While trying to duplicate, using the attachment file, the bug occured
using two other methods:

1. when removing one of the formulas
      click on one of the formula and press delete on the keyboard

2. When double clicking on one of the formula and then clicking
outside of the formula

Seems to be better in 643.

My hands are tied, must wait for someone else to verify.

Comment 5 prgmgr 2002-10-27 22:30:32 UTC
From issue 8320:

I've written a document with Writer, and included a group of Formula
objects...
I've altered the font size on these objects to ballance with the rest
of the document, and when I save and reopen the paper for further
editing, the formula objects are not displayed with the altered font
size. If I check the settings for these objects, they are reported as
being size 8 font, but are displayed as 12; a check and confirmation
of these settings forces the necessary refresh, and they return to
their intended size...

I've been able to reproduce this with several documents.

Thanks!!

Carl

Hmmm, Win NT 4.0 SP6a, OOo 643 doesn't exhibit the problem Carl
refers to.

I can duplicate it using RH 8.0, OOo 643.

7850frmlasize.sxw, created in OOo 643 running on RH 8.0.

Under Linux and OOo 643 the a/b equation is rendered using a smaller
font size until you double click the equation and then return to the
doc.

The file opens fine in Win NT 4.0 SP6a, and OOo 643.

I've taken a afile created on my RH 7.3 box to a Solaris system;
results are the same. The data and configuration is all correct,
forumla s just do'nt render to the correct font size on load...
