Description serg_z 2007-03-16 18:44:43 UTC
I have a document with MS Equation containing greek letter \varphi.
I open this document OOo 2.0.4 (OS FreeBSD) and the equation looking as MS Word.
After opening this equation the greek letter \varphi was replaced greek letter \phi.

Can confirm it for OOo2.2RC3 on WinXP. varphi φ is replaced with phi ϕ and the
other way round phi is replaced with varphi.

MRU->TL: the MathType conversion needs to be enabled for this. Then the Greek
letter phi/varphi will be translated wrongly from MS format. This will be
visible when activating the object.

target 2.4

No more issues accepted for OOo 2.4 unless there are serious problems.
Comment 6 thomas.lange 2009-11-06 11:46:16 UTC
Issue should be fine once the new OpenSymbol font becomes available and the
respective Math changes are done as well.

Setting target to OOo 3.3 to match the target for the new font.

Checked this with DEV300_m83 (new OpenSymbol font): problem still exists, but
can now properly be fixed.
Setting target to OOo 3.4 since for OOo 3.3 now only showstoppers can be fixed.
