Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 7330
Print setup reverts to default
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
We work in a mixed (MSOffice & OpenOffice) environment. Files saved from OpenOffice are set to save in MSOffice format (.doc, .xls, etc.). When the option to force the print to one page is selected, the file prints as requested. When the file is saved to .doc or .xls and later recalled, the selection has reverted to the default setting. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
Vincent, good to hear you are using OOo. Please feel free to let us know any suggestions you have on improving OOo. Please post your question to the users mailing list. The users mailing list is the forum for these types of requests. http://www.openoffice.org/mail_list.html That said, if you could list the steps we need to take to reproduce your problem, I'll take a quick look at it to see if it's a defect with OOo. Also, please attach all the files we need to reproduce this problem. Thanks.
The print settings that get saved in the OO native formats is the Printer path, the page orientation and the option to print certain pages to certain printer trays. What do you mean with "option to force the print to one page"? there is no "shrink-to-fit" feature in OO. Some tools like "Fine Print" offer to print several pages on one page (like the brochure print option in OO.org that can do "4 on 1") Please comment.
Prio 2 was a bad joke, I guess. (I couldn'd find "crash" or "loop" in your description ;-) This does not even look like a serious filter problem. Prio changed to 4.
SBA->Vincent: Time passes... Please comment, otherwise this one will be closed. Thank you.
