Description Unknown 2002-08-29 12:22:21 UTC
When I have the formule: =B3*B2*(1400+B2)/2 and click on the input line, the cellsnames get a
different color. the first B2 gets red and the second B2 becomes purple. the rectangle around cell
B2 is purple. I would assume all B2 colors should be red or purple and not a mix.

The two occurences of B2 in the formula are separate references, can
be manipulated separately and thus have different colors. There are
cases where it would be better to treat them as one, there are other
cases where the current behavior is better. So we may as well leave it
this way.

Hi Niklas,

please tell us such a case where you think current behaviour is better.

I - a USER of StarOffice - have encountered the same problems as the submitter
of this issue describes, as I have tried to understand complex formulas.

In my oppinion it's a bug, because this behaviour leads to different colors for
the cell-border and the corresponding reference in the formula.

Please adopt features from competitive software properly if you do so.
