Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 71802
two page sizes for post cards defined by the Japanese government are required
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:02:25 UTC
The following two page sizes are required in the Japanese market: - Width 100mm x Height 148mm (Japanese post card; 'ha ga ki') - Width 200mm x Height 148mm (Japanese reply post card; 'oh fu ku ha ga ki') According to an article, Japanese postal office has prepared 3,790 million Japanese new year cards for the year of 2007 and started selling them on November 1st, 2006. Due to the tremendous number of post cards, there is a big market. Every printer available in the Japanese market supports those page sizes. Many software applications and books with a CD-ROM that help users create their new year cards are sold in the year-end sales season. Many vendors try to convince consumers to replace existing, old equipments with new ones.
TM->requirements: please have a look, thanks !
ja->mmp: reassigning to you as we already talked about these page formats. I have both types of post cards at my desk. We need to discuss if it's possible to allow page formats to appear locale specific. The name might appear as katakana characters within the page format listbox. Target not yet set.
Summary has been revised. Question: Is there any plan to enhance OOo to deal with local, user specific, customizable list of predefined page sizes?
I am no longer officially active on OOo. Please take over.
