Description tora3 2006-11-19 13:40:49 UTC
An illustration attached tries to explain this phenomenon.

Some TTF font files embedded in Solaris 10 has localized a font family name,
but a font list of OpenOffice.org 2.0.4 or StarSuite 8 Evaluation (PU3 rev.2)
does not list the localized ones.

However, adding such font files using spadmin seems to have soffice notice
that the font files have localized font family names.

pl->hdu: seeing from the both pspfontcache this is a case of first come first
serve; adding the font with spadmin just changes coincidentally the sequence in
which the fonts are added to ImplDevFontList. It seems the alias names go away
somewhere in outdev3.cxx in ImplDevFontList::Add
