Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 71548
default tab setting gets wrong when changing locale
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:43:17 UTC
Hi *, I have Dutch language settings; Now, via Tools|Options|Language settings|Languages change those to English (GB or US, doesn't make a difference, the key is that the decimal seperator is '.' and not ','); Now the default tab setting (Tools|Options|OOoWriter|General) changes to 99.99 cm; This influences working with tabs en indentation in new docs and is very nasty, (unless you are able to find the course of trouble swiftly, of course ;-) ) Same problem the other way round. So must have to do with the decimal seperator, IMO. Greetings, Cor
Hi, I forget to mention that it is the 'Locale setting'! (in Tools|Options|Language settings|Languages)
I have the same problem, but it happened only when I changed back to Dutch.
Reassigned to SBA.
The same problem here with 2.0.4 on Win2000
Hi, I tested the problem also. Starting from Dutch(Belgium) I went to English(VS). No problem the first time. I go back to Dutch(Belgium), still no problem. I changed the settings to English(GB) -> first time problem noticed. Every change I do afterwards between Dutch(Belgium) or Dutch(NL) and English(VS) or English(GB) the default tab setting switches to 99,99cm. Kind regards Gustaaf
L.S., I also experience the problem Cor submitted. I use windows 98 Yours sincerely Dirk
Confirming with OO 2.0.4 on Win XP - going from "." to "," as decimal separator causes tab stops to jump from 0,47" to 39,37" (you have to close dialog with OK first, then reopen it to see the change.
Maybe duplicate to issue 27335?
Yes, this is an "old friend". I raised the prio of issue 27335 to P3 and set target OOo 2.x. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 27335 ***
SBA: Closed as duplicate.
