Description shanky 2002-08-20 09:28:44 UTC
PPT files, exported from Lotus Freelance Graphics, are not opened in Impress.
They are opened in PowerPoint97. Impress gives an version incompatible message
(and crashes in WinNT).Since Impress doesn't support Freelance files, and the
only closest common file format seems to be PPT, this issue is critical.

Hi,
I would like to take a look at this problem, but I don't have a PPT
document that is exported by Lotus Freelance. Can you please provide
an attachement.
Thanks,
Sven

This bug has been fixed now and will be available in OpenOffice v1.02
and StarOffice 6.0 PP2.

The fix takes place in svx/source/svdraw/svdfppt.cxx -r1.88

Thanx a lot. Can you give me the drop in targets for Linux and
WindowsNT, as of now? Thanks a lot once again.
Comment 7 sven.jacobi 2002-08-21 14:30:04 UTC
Sorry, I can't provide binaries, but you are able to build the fix on
your own. Just compile the svx module and make the changes I made in
svx/source/svdraw/svdfppt.cxx -r1.88, or you wait for OpenOffice
v1.02.

Hi
The fix has not gone into SRX643_OO. Will it be available for
download in any of the future Dev builds (in Linux)? When will OO
1.0.2 get released?
Comment 9 Unknown 2002-10-29 04:55:33 UTC
Can you please let me know about my previous question?
Comment 10 sven.jacobi 2002-10-29 10:08:26 UTC
Yes, you are right, the fix did not make it into SRX643_OO.
The revision of the file where I fixed the problem is 1.88, but in
the OpenOffice version the file revision is only 1.86.

So I can only promise that the fix will be available within the next
developer build (SRX644 or so)
But I am sorry, I cannot say when it is time for version 1.0.2, this
may last a while.

Verified in the last developer build (srx643)
Comment 12 christian.guenther 2003-01-15 14:49:59 UTC
I close the issue.
