Description peopleandplanet 2002-08-19 11:20:47 UTC
I produced a 1-side document with several (4 I think) images in it. I wrote it fine, was impressed
with the wrap-to-contour function, printed it fine, saved it fine.

Now I try to open it and get
"An unrecoverable error has occurred" from OO and then "soffice.exe has generated errors and
will be closed by Windows".

I'm currently evaluating OO for use in place of MS Word in my
organisation, I've been really impressed and have begun phased changeover but this is a really
serious problem - all software crashes from time to time but it's bad when it results in lost work /
unopenable files.

Please help if you can!

Thanks for posting Rich.

The best place for support is to send your request to the users mailing list.

However, if you think your file is valid and a problem exists with OO, please attach a file we can use to reproduce your problem.

Inside issue 7116, there is a link "Create a new attachment" that you can use to attach the file to this issue.

Thanks

Rich, thanks for the document.

It does appear to be corrupted.

Do you have any specific steps to reproduce this error? Does this
save error happen all the time?

**** This is an unofficial tip. Use at your own risk.

You can try to unzip the "how to make big windmills instructions.sxw"
file and recover the text contents from the content.xml file.

I emphasis once again, that this type of support is handled via the
users mailing list. Please post your support questions there.
