Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 70705
hyperlink working improperly in Writer index
Last modified: 2006-10-23 07:52:22 UTC
I created an OpenOffice.org 2.0.3 Writer document (.odt) under Windows XP. I first wrote "heading 1", "heading 2" and "heading 3" style headers using F11. After that, i inserted an index with insert -> index -> index. Finally, i inserted hyperlinks for the entire index using right clic -> edit index and then the tab "entries" : i selected level "1", clicked just before the "E" button and then on the "hyperlink" button and also clicked just after the "E" button and then on the "hyperlink" button; i've also done that for the levels "2" and "3". The problem is here: when i click on an hyperlink, OOo goes to the header of a level under the one i clicked. So, if there is no header of the level under the one i clicked, OOo remains in the index and doesn't go to the header. Example : Title Style 1. header 1. Heading 1 1.1. header 1.1. Heading 2 1.1.1. header 1.1.1. Heading 3 1.1.2. header 1.1.2. Heading 3 1.2. header 1.2. Heading 2 1.3. header 1.3. Heading 2 2. header 2. Heading 1 3. header 3. Heading 1 Here, if i click on the index entry "1. header 1." OOo goes to the "1.1. header 1.1." of the document, but none of the other links works ! I've found out that : - a "level 1" points to the "level 2" just under it - a "level 2" points to the "level 4" just under it - and so on, i assume ... So, the hyperlink in the index is not pointing on the right element of the document. I also tried the hyperlinks under Mandriva One 2007 with OOo 2.0.3. and the result is the same. I think it's a very important bug you should fix rapidy. christophe
