Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 7047
navigator: toggle object visibility
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:39:46 UTC
for each object shown in Navigator there should be the possibility to toggle its visibility on/off in the document, for example so that one can quickly see the table underneath a chart (if the chart is placed above cells and hides the data in these cells). not only objects, but cells content and "layout" should be possible to toggle on/off -- perhaps by allowing the user to draw a special frame around cells which make these cells appear as objects in Navigator where their visibility can then be toggled on/off. This option already exists for printing (cell attributes: don't print this cells content), but it will also be welcomed for display. Reason: spreadsheets are also used as the electronic spreadsheet itself for presentation and there it will be good to control layout etc. more. Making characters color in that cells white is only a workaround and doesn't give the convenience of quickly toggling them on/off. Lars
I'm understanding Navigator as an "object browser" with additional functionality see also issue 6741
TM->FT: A wish for an enhancement or a new feature ! Please have a look, thanks !
I'm changing components of some issues to ui ui from framework ui; am I right in doing so? not all: it'd be too much. Also I clarified some types from Feature to Enhancement
SBA: Reassigned to Bettina.
