Description krasmussen 2006-10-04 15:36:19 UTC
I think there is a need for an upwards-downwards-facing double arrow, i. e. a
vertical equivalent to dlrarrow. I need it in situations where you would want to
place to equations on top of each other rather than next to each other, for example:
a*b=c
newline
dudarrow
newline
c over b=a

In contrast to
a*b=c dlrarrow c over b=a

It shouldn't more than taking the dlrarrow, rotating it and putting it under the
name "dudarrow" or something similar.

Such a symbol is not available aín any default Symbol font like OpenSymbol or
MS's Symbol. Must be created from the scratch.

You can use "Lucida Sans", which is delivered with the JRE. The symbol is U+21D5.

I don't think a simple arrow should be dependant on the JRE, should it? Besides,
how hard is it to create this from a rotated version of dlrarrow?
