Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 6914
solenv/bin/zipdep.pl not executable
Last modified: 2003-03-13 10:26:18 UTC
In the OOo 1.0.1 tarball, solenv/bin/zipdel.pl is not executable. This breaks the build on Linux at least. The fix is simply chmod +x solenv/bin/zipdep.pl (Note that to fix this in CVS you have to go into the repository: just changing the permissions on the working file doesn't work.)
Correction: I'm not sure whether this issue by itself causes the build not to complete, but it definitely causes "Permission denied" messages during the build.
Do we want to include this command in the bootstrap script?
VG: can you look after the permissions? JJC: what error message did you get?
I get errors like this: Making: ../../unxlngi4.pro/misc/unxfontsxp3ppds.dpz zipdep.pl -u -j ../../unxlngi4.pro/bin/fontunxppds.zip "*" "-x" "makefile.*" -x "*CVS*" >> ../../unxlngi4.pro/misc/unxfontsxp3ppds.ppds.fontunxppds.dpzz /src/SOURCES/build/oo_1.0.1_src/solenv/bin/zipdep.pl: Permission denied.
VG: I have posted issue 6934, based on this one, for CVS people
James: Does the build actually stop after that error message? I understood that you get these permission denied messages throughout the build, so I conclude that a break of the build has another cause (and maybe another error message)
Yes, it stops... It could be fixed wich 'chmod +x', but it's just workarownd...
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
