Installation Crashes

OpenOffice setup crashes on my Win98 box during the final stages. Previous versions also crashed. I have installed StarOffice on the machine before which worked, although it has since been removed. I get 3 (possibly unrelated) 'unable to register' errors before the crash. Hello Sam, we've tried on several computers and with all Windows versions and we've had no problems to install OO. We need further information what makes your computer so special that it's impossible to install OO. Be so kind and discribe: - your hardware and software configuration - how much diskspace you have for installation - how much diskspace you have on your system drive (specially the tmp directory) - the size of your swap file
No reaction for 3 weeks We have still no problems in 627.
